After our summer break for holidays we took a short notice gig on Friday 29th at
Peterlee Labour Club.
It's the first time we have played a working mans club and took the gig because
Frank Steel from the band The Note who is booking the bands asked us to
help out at short notice - pub bands in the clubs is this a new trend?
Anyway on to Saturday 30th and our first gig at Springwell Village Hall and what a
great suprise it was for us!
This was booked by a group of girls who saw us play 100m along the road at The Guidepost
pub back in June.
After the gig we were asked if we would consider playing at their venue because 'we
have been coming here for six weeks and you are the best band we have seen' and 'we
would like to get up and sing backing vocals on Mustang Sally' - no problem.
It was again a first for us, a 'Village Hall' and didn't know what to expect on a
Saturday night just down the road from all the other pubs and clubs in the area.
But we were very pleased that about 60 to 80 people came along to see us and support
the girls organising the event.

And what a fantastic night we had. All the band agreed it was the best audience we have played to.
It's great to have a supportive and enthusiastic crowd and this was really helped
along by Jackie & Suzanne (see photo)
who, true to their word, not only got up to sing backing vocals but put together some
dance moves aided by some Trilby hats which were very well done and very sexy

Half the house was up and dancing and everybody seemed to be singing along with them.
So a big big big THANK YOU to Jackie, Suzanne their friends, husbands etc.etc. for making
the night so enjoyable and fun.

Hope we can do it agian in 2007.
Our competition will appear here in the next few weeks - so if you fancy your chances at
winning some liquid refreshments for Christmas keep logging on.
Until Next Time.
